Open Letter from The Board of Directors (March 2022)

Members, AAPi has been a little quiet during the Pandemic, we hope that everyone survived these past two years and let’s hope things return to normal quickly and safely for everyone.

There have been a number of retirements and resignations from the board membership which has necessitated a ‘reforming’ of the board, updating of the AAPI website and a host of admin and financial issues that havebeen or remain to be addressed.

Mr. Brendan BURKE and myself are continuing on as board members and have welcomed Mr. CHRISTIAN, Mr. ALI, and Mr. Del ROSARIO as new directors.

Very shortly we will be contacting all existing members of AAPI, together with newly Solicitor General Registered Investigation companies explaining Membership renewal for 2022.

As most of you will be aware, there has been nothing undertaken with membership issues since 2019.

We are hoping that all existing members will remain with AAPI as we move forward in this new era, and we are acutely aware that the burning question is your minds at this time will be “What exactly do AAPI do as an association for it’s members”

In answer to this question the board will be preparing a “statement of Intent” for your consideration which will list the active plans we are making as a board, including an AGM, a possible conference based on the 2015/16 events in Calgary & Edmonton, and our plans for lobbying the Alberta Solicitor Generals office on a variety of issues relating to our industry.

We have also restored our long time association with CAPI, the National association for Professional Investigators who serve as our link to National issues in our industry.

At our last board meeting the board voted unanimously in favor of providing existing members with free membership and a certificate of membership to AAPI for 2022.

New members who meet the board’s requirement for membership to AAPI will be offered membership at a reduced rate, which we hope will attract new members and promote interest and new ideas for the association.

New membership forms will be posted onto our website shortly which you can print out, fill in your details, and return to us online or by post, and certificates will be sent back your way as soon as possible.

We wish you all a happy and prosperous 2022, please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns or questions, or ideas! They are always welcome.

Thank you, we look forward to seeing all your faces, and all of your faces soon at an AGM.

Paul Waldron
President
