Ladies and Gentlemen
I am proud to represent the AAPI during this period of change. The new Executive is extremely busy with a complete overhaul of the processes and administration of the Association.
The AAPI will become more efficient, effective and streamlined as a result of these changes. Increased communication and consultation is not only essential to this process but it also serves to create a higher level of transparency. I encourage you to contact your Executive with your comments and ideas. Together we must raise the Association’s profile and the professional image of the industry as a whole.
The Security Services and Investigators Act is the most important piece of legislation to affect the industry in the last ten years. Through public consultation and private meetings with your Executive, substantial common ground has been reached with the Solicitor General Office.
The new AAPI website is online, thanks to one of our new sponsors; ‘Intangible Realities’. With no capital cost to the Asociation, it has been an extensive undertaking to develop a fully integrated, interactive website that has been designed with the future needs of the Association and it’s members in mind.
Tim Houghton
